How Can a Marriage and Family Therapist Help Your Relationship
Does anyone really read these?! So, I arrived in Charlotte almost 20 years ago from the west coast. I come from a military background and worked uptown in corporate america before completing my degrees in Psychology, Sociology and Marriage and Family Therapy.
My psychotherapy service experiences include working in hospitals, schools, community-based services, equine therapy, intensive in-home and now, private practice. My approach is a balance between challenging and cheer-leading you. I truly believe the relationship you have with yourself sets the tone for all other relationships, and I want to empower you to create the love and life you deserve.
I love music (can you tell?), traveling, trash tv, wine, sports and amateur photography.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Associate (NC10068A) clinically supervised by Dr. John Rowe, AAMFT Approved Supervisor (#23371) who can be reached at 704-490-4000
About Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT)
MFT’s have specialized training in relationship dynamics and bi-directional influences. Systemic Clinicians are prepared to support individuals, couples and families by deconstructing non-productive communication and reactionary patterns. Through the therapy process, a multitude of theoretical frameworks are used to establish effective communication and support healthy relationships.
One of the theories I use, comes from the Gottman‘s who can predict with over 90% accuracy which couples will last and which may face divorce from their in-depth decades of study on relational interaction patterns.
